Lisa has served as a leader, sponsor, and part of the teaching team at the North County Celebrate Recovery Program for the past three years and as a member of Al-Anon for the past 10 years. She is often invited to share her testimony in Celebrate Recovery ministries throughout North Country as well as her experience, strength and hope at Al-Anon Speaking Meetings.

Lisa’s latest keynote message at the 2019 Spring Roundup positioned her nationally to encourage, elevate, and empower others through the spiritual program and practice of recovery in the 12-steps. Her compelling story and is an example of how we can rise above our circumstances and be a beacon of light and support for others.

DENIAL is an Acronym: “Don’t Even Notice I Am Lying” (Change this strategy of coping with the unmanageable by uncovering the messages that keep denial alive, and discovering the power of living in truth).

The “Power “ in POWERLESS (Four powerful actions to release our control, reclaim our position, renew our minds, and restore our lives through the Power of God!)

SANITY (the strength in acceptance which empowers us to live a new life with integrity and trust in our Higher Power.)

Who can I TURN to? (Serenity awaits at the door surrender. As we entrust our lives to the God who understands all things, we begin to value His point of view instead of our own, so we can live a new life with him at the center.)

ACTION: the antidote to despair (Action is the fruit of our thoughts, and thoughts are the fruit of our choice, which can either break us down or make us stronger, retard our growth, or propel us forward. You get to choose!)

Lisa’s experience of growing up in a home with alcoholism and mental illness has led her on a path of healing and self-discovery, celebrating her own recovery of nine years from fear, anxiety, depression, and abuse.

Her compassionate heart and fierce boldness leads others up and out of fear, anxiety, depression, and addiction and is a driving force behind her mission and vision to develop leaders who change the ethos of communities and nations.
